The process begins with arriving at BMW of Dubuque and placing an order for your new BMW. Your BMW purchase price on a European delivery may save you up to 7% of the retail price and may be as much as $5,935.00. This price of the vehicle does not cover destination, handling, federal, state or local taxes unless otherwise specified.
The next step is to plan your trip to BMW Welt in Munich, Germany. Lufthansa has a special program, which ends on December 31st 2009 where the purchaser may bring a companion on a round trip flight from your departure city to Munich and back free of charge. This program is only available for BMW European Delivery customers. This program is only offered over the phone at 1-888-552-4508. The length of the round trip is subject to how many activities you wish to partake in during your delivery.
Once you arrive at the Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport you have a couple of options. The trip from the airport to BMW Welt is about 30-45 minutes; you may take a car, taxi or train. Courtyard Travel Ltd. May provide you with a car and driver to BMW Welt providing you book your European Adventure with them, which is discussed later in the process.
BMW Welt is one of the most architecturally fascinating buildings in the world. When you arrive you will be in awe of its all-inspiring design. Once arrive in BMW Plaza you will walk through a parade of the most up to the minute BMW vehicles. As you pass through the parade you will make your way to the Technology center where you can see, touch and feel all of the most cutting edge BMW technology for hours.
When you are finished learning about all the current and future technology you will set up your delivery. While your vehicle and BMW delivery specialist are notified that you have arrive you may spend some time in the BMW lounge fulfilling your every need.
Shortly, your BMW Specialist will arrive and guide you to the Product Information Center. There you will see a digital rendering of your vehicle and you may explore any feature of the vehicle. After you explore all the features of your vehicle take a drive in the BMW simulator using your vehicles specific options. You may decide that it is time to start driving your new BMW. As you walk down the main stairway you will see the Four Cylinder Building, BMW World Headquarters, in the background of your new BMW on a turntable illuminated by a spotlight shining display its’ beauty. At this point, the BMW specialist will go over all the features of your vehicle in detail with a hands-on demonstration. The end of the delivery begins with you starting your new BMW for the first time and driving it out of the plaza and on to the road.
If you decide embrace the entire BMW experience you can spend two additional days viewing the Munich factory and BMW museum. You will see exactly how a brand new BMW comes to life in the factory tour. At the BMW museum you can view BMW’s rich heritage. The museum is filled with production and racing vehicles to enhance the experience.
If you decide that you want to drive the roads a BMW was design for then Courtyard Travel Ltd. can assist you. They have multiple tours where you can experience various types of European roads with visiting historic sites. Once all of Europe has been explored. BMW has several drop-off locations where your new BMW is sent back to the United States. After you have decided on your route of travel BMW of Dubuque can provide you with the closest BMW drop-off location.
Your vehicle will meet you in the United States in approximately 6-8 weeks for East Coast customers. Additional time may be required for non-Germany drop-off locations.
Once your vehicle arrives in the United States BMW will notify you. If you have ordered any additional accessories or options BMW of Dubuque will install those components before your Client Advisor redelivers your vehicle to you.
